Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine  that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam  deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.
I know this is a no-duh for 90% of people reading it but for the sake of the rest lets revise what we all should know about online phishig. And before you go all:

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Going on just over a month now.
Come on, Etsy, bring me some sales.

Views don't translate to sales, unfortunately, otherwise I'd be rich right now.

Heck, even the views in my other shops never translated to sales.

I'm not the only one, I know. Apparently , low sales/no sales are happening to everyone.

It is rather discouraging, to say the least.

Ah well.  Maybe things will pick up soon.

Don't get discouraged! I have not sold one thing off the internet, but I sure do ok at the shop where I sell my work and at my shows. I use the net primarily as a gallery and networking. I have had people buy in person then go to my website to see what else I have got and buy again that way. I think people really like to see workmanship in person and like ~jarden said...that time of year. The very slowest of all! and Etsy is extremely competitive!!! Keep you chin up and if things aren't working for you, you may need to rework your thoughts for a different outcome.

I do have other shops, waiting in the wings. Just need to figure out how to 'customize' them.}:) Then maybe I can get some more views in those when I list items that expire on Etsy.

Well, it all depends on how much you promte stuff....as we all know....

Plus, Jan and Feb are the worst months for sales for luxury items, as eveyone is paying taxes, paying off their christmas bills, etc....

I think it's because it IS tax season.

Ye gods do I ever promote.

My views and hearts are way up. But we all know those do mean sales. In Feb along, so far, I've gained 50 hearts easily. My new listed items are getting anywhere from 25-60+ views.

Promoting across 6 blogs, 2 profile sites, 2 photo sites AND listing my shop in numerous website search engines might have something to do with that.}:P
